The Type 82 is a modern Japanese wheeled command and battlefield management vehicle. The first prototypes of the car were probably developed in the late 1970s, and serial production started in 1981 or 1982, and most likely to date. It is estimated that there are currently around 200 Type 82 CCVs in the line. The drive is provided by a single motor Isuzu 10PBI with 305 hp. The car is armed with two machine guns cal .: 12.7 mm and 7.62 mm.
The Type 82 vehicle was developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries on behalf of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. It was one of the first fully developed armored vehicles in Japan after World War II. The vehicle's cover is provided by steel armor, providing protection against small arms and artillery shells. The Type 82 has good maneuverability and a good top speed. Due to the tasks performed, it has extensive electronic equipment and extensive possibilities of short and medium-range communication. The only user of this type of vehicle is the Japanese Self-Defense Forces.
