The books analyses the M4 version armed with the 76 mm gun, covering developments such as the HVSS suspension.
The M4 Sherman was the backbone of the Western allies from 1942 to 1945. It was a big success due to its speed and how modern it was. It was transported as far as Russia and North Africa because of this. It was described as the best tank on the battlefield today by the american chief of staff in 1943. By the Normandy attacks in 1944 the new German heavy tanks like the Tiger and Panther meant the Sherman had been outclassed.
I was very impressed with how easy the website is to use and how quickly the book was delivered.
