Brilliant - although an avid fan and I have the complete collection of Dan Dare facsimile books, many things were new to me. Well done for all that research. And eat your hearts out Trekkies!!

Such Happy Memories!

An avid reader of the Eagle comic/magazine as a kid in the 1960s with Dan Dare as my clean cut hero. I couldn't wait to collect it from the newsagent every week. I collected all the cut-out "engineering" pictures from the middle. It was Dan Dare that started my interest in science fiction and engineering - and his adventures gave a positive view of humanity and society. Very inspiring for a young Elizabethan. And thank you Tank Museum - the item was as described, delivered promptly and well packaged - and my late Dad would have been proud - he was a tank driving instructor based there during WWII, and was the one who first introduced me to The Eagle (and who read my/our copy after I'd finished).
