Space Fleet Operations Manual by Rod Barzilay.
Dan Dare is easily the most famous British comic hero. His adventures appeared in the original Eagle magazine during the 1950s and 1960s, but he also featured briefly in 2000AD before returning in the re-launched Eagle of the 1980s.
This innovative Haynes Manual takes a detailed look inside the spaceships, space stations and various other craft that played such a huge part in bringing the excitement of space travel to the stories.
Beautifully illustrated with cutaway artwork by Graham Bleathman, and supported by fabulous contemporary comic-strip art, this is the ultimate technical guide to the spaceships of Dan Dare and a wonderful addition to every comic fan's bookshelf.
This book is Hardback.
An avid reader of the Eagle comic/magazine as a kid in the 1960s with Dan Dare as my clean cut hero. I couldn't wait to collect it from the newsagent every week. I collected all the cut-out "engineering" pictures from the middle. It was Dan Dare that started my interest in science fiction and engineering - and his adventures gave a positive view of humanity and society. Very inspiring for a young Elizabethan. And thank you Tank Museum - the item was as described, delivered promptly and well packaged - and my late Dad would have been proud - he was a tank driving instructor based there during WWII, and was the one who first introduced me to The Eagle (and who read my/our copy after I'd finished).
Just like All Our Yesterdays in One Super Volume takes you back to a simpler perhaps even trouble free era.
When I was a lad I read the Eagle, the book bought back the old Eagle Magazine.
Item as described, delivered promptly and well packaged.
Loved finding this on Facebook, my father was an avid fan of Dan Dare and the Eagle comic and will love this as a Christmas Present. I am glad I came across you on Facebook!
