This book is the second of a multi-volume history of British tanks by renowned British armour expert David Fletcher MBE.
It covers the development and use of the Matilda, Valentine and Crusader tanks that pushed back the Axis in North Africa, the much-improved Churchill that fought with distinction from North Africa to Normandy, and the excellent Cromwell tank of 1944-45. It also takes a look at Britain's super-heavy tank projects, the TOG1 and TOG2, and the Tortoise heavy assault tank, designed to smash through the hardest battlefield conditions, but never put into production.
This book is a present for my son who I'm told has been eyeing it up for some time.
It certainly looks good and I'm sure he'll be over the moon to receive it! Very efficient service and delivery. .Thank you!
No issues with the order made a great gift for an enthusiast
In lockdown I've started modelling again (kits available in the Museum Store) and wanted to focus on early British amour. This book is a great reference for me but has also been a great Xmas reads, fully recommend it and will be looking to get the American armour used by the British soon.
No problem with the order.
