Description
Build a brick model of the T-34-85 and discover the history of one of the most recognizable tanks of World War II!
The T-34-85 was an upgraded version of the famous Soviet T-34 medium tank. It entered service with the Red Army in January 1944. T-34 tanks also played a significant role in the history of Polish units fighting alongside the Red Army. The first T-34s reached the Polish Army being formed in the East as early as 1943, and from the second half of 1944, Polish units also received the T-34-85. By the end of the war, the Soviet Union had transferred 328 T-34-85 tanks to Polish units.
The COBI T-34-85 2-in-1 set allows you to build the model in two historical variants: in the markings of Polish military units or the Red Army. The figure depicts a Polish tanker with two different headgear options. The figure is equipped with a characteristic PPS-43 submachine gun.

Information about the original T-34-85 tank
T-34-85 – one of the most important tanks of World War II
The T-34-85 was a development of the famous T-34, adapted to the evolving demands of the battlefield. The use of a larger turret and an 85mm gun increased firepower and improved working conditions for the crew. Production began in 1944, and the tank quickly saw action on the Eastern Front.
The T-34-85 in Polish units
The T-34 was a key piece of equipment for Polish units formed in the East. The first Polish T-34s appeared as early as 1943, and from the second half of 1944, T-34-85s also began reaching these units. By the end of the war the Polish Army had received 328 T-34-85 tanks from the Soviet Union; these became one of the primary tank types used by Polish armored units.
The T-34-85 in the Red Army
In the Red Army the T-34-85 was one of the primary tanks during the final stages of World War II. The first units reached combat formations in the spring of 1944. Its 85mm gun provided greater firepower than the earlier 76.2mm gun.
The COBI model allows you to recreate either the Polish or the Soviet variant of the T-34-85.
