Description

1/35 scale model kit produced by Amusing Hobby.

For a short time in the storied history of the Centurion Main Battle Tank (MBT), a heavily armed self-propelled gun (SPG) variant was entertained as the FV4005 "Stage 2". This vehicle utilized the existing chassis and hull superstructure of the Centurion MBT mated to a fully-enclosed, 360-degree traversing turret housing a 183mm (7.2") Howitzer main gun (the BL 7.2-inch field howitzer).

The FV4005 program began in 1951 with development stemming into mid-1955. However, the initiative fell to naught and was ended in 1957. A sole example of the FV4005 Stage 2 went on to be preserved outdoors on the grounds of the famous Tank Museum in Bovington, England.

Paint and glue for model not included in kit, will need to be purchased separately.

A pleasure to build with excellent service

As a YouTuber I build kits everyday and this little number was a pleasant surprise from the beautiful box art to the very clear instructions and the wonderful design of the parts that fit together perfectly with little to non difficultly even the single link tracks which are normally a nightmare are wonderfully designed so they are a simple push fit and are strong enough to be able to mount and tension without breaking. As always excellent service from the tank museum the kit arrived in prefect condition with excellent speed and I with them well with the restoration of spud their fv4005

Excellent Quality

This is a really high-quality model with great detail and cleanly moulded pieces.
The tracks have to be built up link by link which is a bit of a pain to build up but definitely worth it in the end because the detail is far better than rubber tracks.
