Do you know your Tigers from your Panthers? The Tank Spotter's Guide gives a concise overview of 40 of history's greatest tanks with drawings to aid recognition.
Each tank is accompanied by a set of detailed specifications and an overview of its development and service history. Published in association with The Tank Museum, the Tank Spotter's Guide is an essential for anyone with an interest in the tank.
Compact directory of most of the tanks you'll ever need to identify. Good price too.
For just six of your English pounds (at time of review) this is great value for your hard-earned money. It covers briefly the history and technical specifics of all the important tanks from the first British Mk1 tanks that first rolled across the mud and barbed wire strewn battlefields of the Somme in WWI to the M1 Abrams of the more recent middle eastern conflicts. Fourty tanks are covered spanning the entire history of the tank up until 1991 with all the main technical details and the drawings are all very well done indeed. Three pages devoted to each of the tanks in the book as I remember. Whether it fits into your jacket pocket rather depends on the size of your jacket pocket. Approximately 7 and a half inches wide by 5 inches tall and a third of an inch thick. 128 pages. Excellent value! Arrived in perfect condition in and in good time courtesy of Royal Mail.
