Follow the story of the tank from Little Willie to Challenger 2. This 97 page guidebook can be enjoyed alongside our exhibitions or in the comfort of your own home.
This glossy guide to the tank covers its development and usage from the First World War to the modern era, as well as how the vehicles work and insights into the life of a tank crewman. Images of the museum's vehicles are supplemented by historic photographs, documents and artefacts from the Archive & Supporting Collection.
I purchased the souvenir book for my husband as a precursor to our visit. Since then, he hasn't stopped reading it! It is very comprehensive and definitely good value.
I bought this as a gift for my Grandads 90th Birthday as we were frequent visitors years ago he absolutely loves it! The only let down was the postage, I paid for 48 hour delivery it arrived on day 4 making it late for his birthday 😒
If you cannot visit the museum in person, (which at present, I cannot), or even if you've been and just want to share what you saw, this souvenir is more than worthwhile. Beautifully produced and presented.
An excellent and comprehensive guide of the country’s finest tank museum, plenty of pictures and interesting information-I’ve visited the museum a few times,it makes me wish I lived closer to visit more often-fascinating and great value.
The guide book was an enjoyable piece of literature. From covering the history of armored vehicles from pre 1914 to 1918 to the present as well the photographs made the purchase of the book well worth the price.
