An insight into the history, development, production and role of the most feared battle tank of the Second World War.
The German Tiger I tank was the most feared battle tank of the Second World War. The Haynes Tiger Tank Manual explores the history of the Tiger I tank and gives a rare insight into the famous Tiger 131 tank, the only running Tiger I in the world.
Held in The Tank Museum collection, the Tiger's story from creation and capture to its painstaking restoration is told using detailed photographs and text from the team of experts who restored, conserve and now run Tiger 131. Published in association with The Tank Museum, the Haynes Tiger Tank Manual is a must-buy for Tiger fans.
I bought the Haynes Tiger Tank Manual as a last minute christmas gift for my husband. He was absolutely delighted with it and is looking forward to visiting the tank museum again soon to see the real thing.
My son has this fascination with the Tiger Tank at the Tank museum. We have never yet managed to get to the Museum to see and hear this German Tank. Seeing the Haynes workshop manual on sale, I thought that it would be an ideal birthday present for my son, and we are definitely going to be at the "Tank Fest" in September.
Fantastic unique gift for my son.
Easy to purchase and fast shipping.
But sadly lacking in the illustrations and colour photos department - probably because the best pictures cost money to add to your own publication - who knows, but I was hoping for some great pics to help with modelling colour schemes and detailing....
Very interesting and informative read, ffits in well with the other car and bike Haynes Manuals !
