Churchill Tank by David Fletcher
David Fletcher’s title on the Churchill tank has been republished with a 21st Century makeover.
This title was originally published by HMSO in 1983 but have been out of print for many years. The Tank Museum has republished the book as the next step in its programme to make David Fletcher’s early work available to modern standards at a fair price.
This title is primarily based around the Official War Office Handbooks, complete with detailed illustrations and technical drawings and covering every facet of the vehicle from engine, clutch, transmission, turret, ammunition and armament.
David supplements this book with vehicle histories, alongside additional documents and scale diagrams.
In The Churchill Tank, he details the troubled development of a tank which would become a stalwart of the Royal Armoured Corps and participate in some of the hardest fighting of the war.
Cromwell Tank by David Fletcher is also available here.
