Description

By Robert Johnson & UWE Feist

This second edition printing (previously titled Beutepanzer 1939-45) contains hundreds of historical photos documenting the vast resources which fell into the German Armys hands during the early WWII campaigns in the Western and Eastern theater right up until 1945. Very little reference material is available regarding captured enemy war material used service by the Wehrmacht during the war, this book will fill the gap.

Illustrated with photos from WWII veterans and archives, this book will be a great addition to any collection. It also makes a great companion to our last years all-new release: 100 Jahre Deutsche Panzer 1918-2018.

Great reference book

This has been on the radar for while as my interest in Beute-Panzers has increased. A great reference book with so many great photos. Its an excellent for my future modelling plans.

Definitely recommended.

Another approach to an interesting topic

Given the fact the very encompassing title (vehicles and tanks in German service, and not just combat vehicles!!) given to this book, it is small wonder that its contains will fall short if you are hoping for the definitive treatment of the subject. This said, I must confess that such a book would have to be bigger, more expensive and appealing only to a minority of readers.
However, the present book offers a great coverage of the topic, with hundreds of photos (some of them rare, others not so much) and brief texts which sometimes supply veritable nuggets of information. Formally, it is a very nice book, and a great addition to any WW2 military library . All in all, good value for your money!!

Recycling at its best

I understand that this is a revised edition to the first with more photos and that's great. I haven't seen the first version and those that I found on Amazon were very pricey, so I can't make a comparison but I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in military history.
