Description

The BWP-1 is a Soviet infantry fighting vehicle, adopted into service in the mid-1960s. Designed as the first mass-produced vehicle of its kind, it combined mobility, amphibious capabilities and stronger armament than previously used armoured personnel carriers.

The BMP-1 model became a widely exported design and for decades formed the backbone of mechanized formations in many armies around the world, including Poland. The first units arrived in Poland in 1973–1974. For a long time it was the basis of the Polish mechanized infantry forces, but in recent years it has become increasingly clear that its heyday is over. Poland has transferred many of its BWP-1s to fighting Ukraine. In our set we therefore give the builder a choice of Polish and Ukrainian vehicle markings!

In the basic version, the troop compartment accommodates four soldiers. Standard armament includes a 73 mm 2A28 Grom smoothbore cannon coupled with a PKT machine gun, as well as a 9M14 "Malutka" anti-tank guided missile launcher.

The BWP-1 has proven itself in numerous armed conflicts: from wars in the Middle East, through the intervention in Afghanistan and fighting in Chechnya, to modern battlefields. Combat experience highlighted its advantages, such as simple design, reliability and high mobility. At the same time, its limitations were revealed, primarily the relatively weak armor and outdated weapons systems, which over time began to lag behind modern standards.

2-in-1 – This set gives you the option to choose which version you want to build. Do you prefer Polish or Ukrainian markings? It's your tank and your choice. And remember, you can always change your mind and swap the markings for the other model.

Realistic tracks and wheels - Rotating wheels and tracks ensure smooth movement of the models. The running gear replicates the construction of the original, so the models can serve as both exhibits and toys for younger builders.

High-quality workmanship - Durable bricks, aesthetic finish and reliable construction ensure satisfaction with the build and many years of durability of the model.

Movable elements - The model has opening rear and top hatches, a rotating turret and a gun that can be raised and lowered, which is a very useful option when recreating battle scenes.

Simple and intuitive instructions - Thanks to the clear instructions, building the models is easy and enjoyable. Suitable for both experienced modelers and beginners.

Durable prints - All markings are printed directly on the bricks, ensuring durability and resistance to abrasion.

Age: 9+ - The set is ideal for experienced modelers and older children who want to build a unique model for their collection.
