Description
Description
The BMP-1 is a Soviet infantry fighting vehicle introduced into service in 1966. Designed as the first mass-produced vehicle of its type, it combined mobility, amphibious capabilities and stronger armament than previous transporters.
Unlike the standard BTR-50P at the time, the BMP-1 was equipped not only with a machine gun, but also with a cannon and a launcher for anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM).
The BMP-1 became a widely exported vehicle and for decades formed the backbone of many mechanized formations. In addition to the USSR, licenses for its production were purchased by Czechoslovakia and Romania. Vehicles of this type were also used by, among others, the Polish, Iraqi, Greek armies and the National People's Army of the GDR.
The vehicle proved itself in numerous conflicts, from the wars in the Middle East, through the war in Afghanistan and the fighting in Chechnya, to contemporary battlefields, the BMP-1 has seen it all. Combat experience highlighted its advantages, such as simplicity of design and mobility, but also revealed serious limitations: relatively weak armor and outdated weapons systems in the face of increasingly rapid technological progress.
This set shows two faces of one machine and provides endless fun building it!
2-in-1 – This set gives you the option to choose which version you want to build. Do you prefer the Soviet or East German version? It's your vehicle and your choice. Remember, you can always change your mind and switch to the other version.
758 elements – The set contains precisely made bricks, allowing you to create realistic models in historical camouflage. The models are distinguished by their fidelity to the originals and attention to detail.
Collector's plaque – The set includes a white brick plaque with the set name and scale. The inscription on the plaque is in English and Russian. Such an addition is always pleasing to the collector's eye.
Durable Prints – All markings are printed directly on the bricks, ensuring their resistance to abrasion and longevity. The high quality of the print is visible even on the details of the rear of the vehicle.
Age: 9+ – The set is ideal for older children and experienced modelers who want to build a unique model for their collection.
This brick model is a piece of Cold War reality that you can build and add to your collection. The set allows you to recreate the BWP-1 infantry fighting vehicle in two versions of markings: Soviet (USSR) and East German (GDR). The set includes a figure of the vehicle commander, and the whole is complemented by an aesthetic, bilingual plaque with the name of the vehicle. A great option for fans of military history, collectors of Cold War-era equipment and everyone who appreciates brick model building.
