A First Rate and Entertaining Insight Into The Engineering Behind This Landmark

This book is a remarkable blend of history, humour and engineering expertise described in terms that both the lay person and fellow engineers alike will appreciate.
Although there are stunning photographs - many taken by the author himself - this is no frothy "coffee table" offering. This book has been rigorously researched by someone who clearly has a passion for highlighting the amazing ingenuity of Victorian engineers and which continues to delight and astound visitors, tourists and users of the bridge to this day.
This book was used extensively for the Channel 5 programme London's Greatest Bridges with Rob Bell who interviews the author in the programme. A brilliant book by an exceptional author.
