Description

By Craig Moore.

A detailed and stunningly illustrated colour survey of German tanks in World War II.

Throughout World War II, the British published tank recognition books to help Allied troops identify enemy tanks. Many changes were introduced during the production runs of these tanks and new editions of the book were printed regularly. The Allies tried to keep up with the rapid evolution of these machines, and as new German tanks were captured or knocked out, the books were updated with photographs, sketch drawings and handwritten notes.

This modern version of those tank recognition books concentrates on the German tanks developed during WWII. As well as giving detailed information about each different tank's design and development history, this invaluable guide explains the exterior differences between the various versions of the same tank. Colour illustrations provide a visual guide to these myriad changes.
