By Nigel Montgommery & The Tank Museum

We currently have stock of a limited print run, made exclusively for The Tank Museum.

An Insight into owning, operating and maintaining Britain's Churchill tank during and after the Second World War.

The Churchill tank became known as the best British tank of the Second World War. Its ability to take punishment and fight on was legendary and, combined with numerous adaptations and evolution, meant it became the Infantry's best friend.

The Churchill tank fought through the Second World War and later in the Korean War. The Haynes Churchill Manual is published in association with The Tank Museum and has been written with full access to the Museum's Churchill collection.

A mine of information

My father used to drive a Churchill in WW2 while serving in the Grenadier Guards. This book provides an insight into how this tank functions and operates. A really good read and some photos that I haven’t seen before. A must for anyone interested in British AFV’s.

Cherish your Churchill

You get all you expect from a Haynes manual, particularly if you own or are restoring one. I doubt many of us will. However if one is interested in AFVs or just the Churchill then this volume won't disappoint: a superb range of photos, official drawings, historical notes covering design, production, development and deployment right down to how to operate one. A great read too.

What a cracking book

This is my first tank Haynes Manual but not my first Haynes manual, as like many a young car owner you bought the book with the intention of saving money on car servicing. Whilst I will never own a Churchill (shame) the book is an absolute gem. Some many interesting chapters, tank development, history, battles and then servicing. My first tank manual and definitely not the last. And a steal at the sale price. Buy one on your favourite tank like me you won’t be disappointed
