By Simon Dunstan
The last in a four-part series on British Battle Tanks covering the whole history of British armoured warfare. This book covers the vehicles that have served following the end of World War II to 2016.
This book examines the types of tanks that lined up on the German plains to resist any potential Soviet offensive. It talks of the Centurion, Chieftain and Conqueror. As well as modern tanks still in use today such as the Challenger 2. It will talk of deployments of British tanks around the world, including Afghanistan.
A very good read!
Excellent service from the Tank Museum team. Some nice reading to keep me occupied during these testing times
Having already read British Made Tanks of WW2, this post war book seemed an obvious choice. The book is packed with fascinating facts, about the design, development, and usage of each tank, along with great first hand stories from those involved with the development, as well as from the tank crews who served in these vehicles. Well worth a read, and a book that you will keep going back to.
I would also like to say, excellent service once again from The Tank Museum.
