An Insight into owning, operating and maintaining Britain's Churchill tank during and after the Second World War.
The Churchill tank became known as the best British tank of the Second World War. Its ability to take punishment and fight on was legendary and, combined with numerous adaptations and evolution, meant it became the Infantry's best friend.
The Churchill tank fought through the Second World War and later in the Korean War. The Haynes Churchill Manual is published in association with The Tank Museum and has been written with full access to the Museum's Churchill collection.
Very detailed & interesting publication
Very useful and informative, full of valuable information as I am currently scratch building a 1/18 scale model Churchill
My grandad is a WW2 Normandy vet who rescued damaged /destroyed churchill tanks on the battlefield The lads got them battle ready again to contine the fight against the Natzi's. On checkout I used auto fill resulting in the delivery address being totally wrong. I realised to late . Customer services was brilliant sent out another copy to grandad with the correct address. Thank you so much.
An excellent product. A unique reminder of the brave men who fought in the Churchill Tank, including my father who landed on the Normandy beaches in his Churchill Tank on his 19th birthday. He was a Coldstream guardsman in the 6th Guards Tank Brigade. The Guards had a minimum height requirement then the powers-that-be decided it would be a good idea to fit FIVE guardsmen into one small Churchill Tank! An amazing machine operated by truly amazing men!
Ordered the Haynes workshop manual for the Churchill tank. Good value and efficient service, thank you.
